Oz puts it on the line in Boston

Oz is someone who's always striving to do and be more in his magic and in all aspects of his life. I've been over at his apartment hanging out, and he'll go over to the door frame and hammer out half a dozen one-handed pull-ups. Or he'll start doing a handstand and walking around on his hands.

And he's ALWAYS working on his magic. How many people do you know who do something professionally and they also do it for fun CONSTANTLY? I don't think I've ever been with him for more than five seconds when he hasn't performed a trick for me. He's always working on something new and pushing himself to the next level.

It's for that reason that I look up to him personally, and I feel fantastic knowing that he's such a good role model for the younger guys that shop at Penguin. That's one of the main things we look for when we're putting together the Penguin Team. We want the best magicians, but we want the guys who are the whole package--the guys who are out there expecting great things from themselves and contributing to the community and the world.

I bring this up because I just got a note from Oz:

"I will be running the Boston Marathon next week on Monday, April 17th. For any fellow Penguins in the Boston area, I'd love to see them out cheering me on. And for those not in the area, they are more than welcome to track my results online in real-time at http://www.bostonmarathon.org/ by typing in Bib# 1929. I'll be out there representing the bird and showing everyone what it means when we say born to perform." -Ozer

I'll be online following Oz's progress, and I hope you get a chance to do the same. Stay tuned for a photo of Oz in action.
