Im looking to get into street magic pretty heavily. I do some performances at malls at the moment but im just looking to wider my area of tricks and im always looking to expand and carry on learning. Is there any really good street magic dvds that dont use gimmerick decks apart from maybe a double facer. Just one deck of cards and a sleight of hand kinda stuff.

As it has been mentioned many times before, if you want to learn card magic, there is no better source then Card College. I highly recommend these books.

Then once you work through all of those and become a good sleight of hand card magician, you should get Art of Astonishment and that will definately add to your repitoir (sp? lol).

Also, I would suggest you read magicmandan's essays in the advice section (under the topid "Magic by Theory"). There are amazing ideas there and also a great essay about David Blaine that all street magic performers should read.

Good luck!

Ellusionist actually has a very good "learn Street Magic" dvd. It's the first one I got and I am still using many of the effects today. I highly recommend it. :D

Jay Sankey has some of the most amazing magic that I possibly know of, all of it is stuff that you can use out of the ordinary that's what makes his stuff and DVD's so special, that's what I reccomend!
