May I recommend "The Bat"? Ellusionist sells nearly the same thing for $80.00 but Penguin sells it for only $17.00! Its a pretty good effect. I usualy carry around "The Bat" and my Raven. Jumping Gemmini is a good card trick aswell.

i take it you mean the m5/pro pk is nearly the same as the bat? im sorry but they are alot different, the m5 has the capibillity to preform lots lots more with and is much more powerfull

Gregory Wilsons "On the Spot" is the best street magic Dvds I have. It is fun and greg really gets in to detail about the tricks. He is a fun guy to learn from.

You are right about on the spot, but since he is a beginner in magic, on the spot effects might be a little much for him. I recommend Born To Perform Card Magic by Oz.

Never heard of that one. "Born to PERFORM" I've heard about but never "PREFORM."

Royal Road, a DVD of some sorts...that will suffice greatly for quite a while. Just stick with what you have, practice and when you get confident and comfortable, perform! : )

Being a magician isn't about having, or being able to do all these awesome effects, it's about being able to do magic. The magic comes from the magician, not his tricks. I have done magic, without doing magic before.
