I was at lunch at my school. I had a shoelace in my pocket with the core removed and ends snipped off, ready for magic. A girl comes up me and says she loves to see my magic tricks and asked if i could show her one. I said "sure, as long as i can borrow that ring" and pointed to her left hand. She slipped it off her finger as i pulled out the shoelace. I just decided to do the classic "Ring off rope" trick from mark wilson's book. Another person saw what i was doing and walked up. So i threaded the ring on the shoelace, went on with my patter, and asked her and another spec to hold the ends of the shoelace so the ring couldn't come off. Needless to say, it was already off

I had a small crowd around me now.
Then i got an idea. I repositioned the girl so she was a few steps back, this way the rope was really tight. While i did this, i slipped the ring into her sweatshirt pocket. So i told them i was going to get the ring to come off of the rope, opened my hands and showed that the ring dissapeared. They flipped out at that. Then i told the girl that it was her ring, so it must have gotten back to her somehow. I asked her to check her pocket, and everyone around us screamed and starting laughing and flipping out (much like how ninjas do when they get super-p*ssed)
This was one of the best reactions i have ever gotten, and it used nothing but sleight of hand. I am proud
