ok you fan the deck and spectator freely selects a card and they replace it
you pull out your phone and its your screensavor
i know its not as great as the picture phone trick but it still gets really really really good reactions someone even said it was real magic at school today

same thing but instead you wipe the deck on your sleeve and roll the sleeve up and the card is written in sharpie on your arm
this one they really freak out on

what do you think?
ive never seen these performed so please tell me if they have been

neither one are really that new or original. I can think of multiple ways to achieve these.

The sharpie one sounds basically like ashes on arm.

And just because you havent seen them performed before doesnt mean a thing. There are tons of material that luckly havent hit the youtube idiots or google, etc.

Like David said, neither one of these are original. The first one is nothing more than a fancy way to reveal a card. And in my opinion, it's not even that good. It screams force.

The second one is extremely old. However, it's not as showy as ashes on arm. There was an effect I seen awhile ago where someone had the same thing happen, but it was on their stomach instead. I think Criss Angel did one in which it ended up on his chest. Really, nothing new at all.

They aren't new. And I would like to see them performed. But I can gurauntee that they aren't new or original. They are nothing more than fancy ways to reveal a card.

kinda impossible then, freely selected card is written on your arm, unless there are methods of doing this, to me (dont get mad at me...im still new into this whole magic thing) it NEEDS a force

Well, he could always use a swami writer. I would love to see that. It would go something like this:

"Wait, wait. Just one minute. I just have to trace the shape of your card on my arm. No funny moves, and just ignore the lines coming from my thumb. It's really nothing. Better yet, could you turn around while I take out this sharpie. What's your card again? Oh yeah, I just write that down. Ta-da, your card appears on my arm in a mysterious way."

Don't give him such a hard time guys. Although, they were right, neither are original.

If you want a more freaky revelation, Stigmata is a great buy and is extremely effective if performed well. A favourite of many.

There are a few different phone ones, Phone-omenon (although it got mixed reviews), Ghostvision (Good buy) and many others.
