Other than the many many topics already on this....

Street magic, the kind your probably talking about is called "blaining."
Which really isnt street magic. It was all started after DB's tv show.
Real street magic is Busking.

A big difference is;
Blaining- you go up to people and bother them to look at your tricks.
Busking- You bring the people to you, to watch your show.

Busking takes real skill and art. Not just any one can do it. Any one can basically blaine, its just basically bugging people.

Plus, most real magicians look down on "blaining."

So if you want to learn the real "street magic" look up some real performers. Some off the top of my head- Don Driver, Gazzo, DaveV, Paddy. I know I left a lot of other greats, but other posters will fill them in if needed.
And 3 of those names I mentioned are posters on this forum.

Ohhhh, ok!
I wikied busking and its like the people on the side of the streets with the hat and all that right?

Well that is what I was talking about i just all ways thought it was called street magic.

But I guess I all ways "bugged" people as you say. When I go "blaining"
I all ways carefully pick my targets.

Anyways in most magic videos I see people "blaining" Like Danny Garcia.
Are you sure this is necessarily a bad thing?
I thought most people looked down on busking.

Do you know of any books about this?

There are several good books. The best (if you can find it, it's out of print but some dealers still have copies) is "The Secret Art of Magic" by Eric Evans and Nowlin Craver.

Gazzo's The Art of Krowd Keeping by Danny Hustle and "Jersey Jim" Wells is also very good.

hit and run with a camera crew is different to by yourself. Never go with friends, it is even more intimidating.

If i get surrounded by a group of youths i go into defense mode. Il reject a performance and move away. Can also be considered harrasment.

In todays age, an adult get slated by the media for being anywhere near kids, therefore they simply dont want to be with kids in the street they dont know.
