I bought some Testor's Dullcote after good reviews on using it to re-rough andused it to make my own Invisible Deck, and I can't guarantee the results. My deck was a little bit too rough, if you know what I mean. It was a little too difficult to get the desired results. I could have used too much though, since I did put two coats on.

I also used hairspray once and only ended up with a ruined pack of cards. :(

testors should be held 10-12 inches away and you're really just "misting" the cards, not doing some heavy spraying, it worked fine with me. if the cards are too rough, rub them together until the desired "roughness" kick in. it should work out ok

I took about 2 steps back and misted above the cards (about 2 feet above them) then let it fall onto the cards. Also, I did it in my basement on a somewhat cold day, I don't know if that messed it up either.

In my opinion, worry about it wearing out (which should take a while), then worry about getting it fixed. StreetMan
