When I had originally saw this item, (as with ALL levitations) I was a little weary about the practicality, durability, and over all quality of this item. Having been previously burned by the absolute rubbish that was the Floating Cigarette system by John Kennedy...to say that I was apprehensive would be an understatement. After watching the DVD, I discovered that a principle, or the much sought after Fearson Hookup, is a precursor for many levitations on the market today. That was really interesting. Anyway, It comes with:
Kevlar and Master thread, Master wax
Fork gimmick
Ice gimmick
Deck gimmick
It is also entire possible to borrow items from the audience as well
The Basic Overview
Pros
Extremely visual
Unlike any levitation on the market
Very practical, when gimmick wants to cooperate.
Teaching is very thorough, and well paced
Creative and well though out routines (the floating cigarette routine is worth the entire price of the DVD alone)
No "filler" routines, everything on the DVD is both practical, and tested under real world conditions.
You can tell that Steve has really worked this for years before releasing it.
Cons
DVD is really, really low quality....almost distractingly so.
VECTRA thread is VERY weak, and I highly recommend using different thread.
Deck gimmick looks absolutely ridiculous. Even positioning audience members 5-10 feet back (e.g. parlor etc.) it still doesn't doesn't look quite as convincing.
Closing thoughts
All in all, this is a wonderful levitation system, by one of the Masters. It is a perfect gap between The hummingbird card levitation, and other more elaborate complicated levitations on the market ( Losander etc). This is something that really shouldn't be missed, ESPECIALLY if you've worked with IT before. It WILL change how you do close up levitation...that much is guaranteed. I hope you take the chance to check it out. Especially at the low, low price of $39! When I bought the MLS, it was around $50 USD. You owe it to yourself to check it out!
