There is a lot of controversy over something we did in the Switchblade Review but I'll let you guys be the judge of that!

I think Matt Mello or Penguin should pay you guys commission because I just ordered Modern Mentalism based on the WPR review of it.

It absolutely was another great review show. Their enthusiasm and when they get excited about a product is enjoyable to watch. Only this time they didn't have the camera guy "get off the sticks" and video one of them performing after saying, "I can already do it." about one of the effects.

I cant tell you how many items i've ordered because of their reviews! they rock. I would love to see a vid of Craig approach Berglass and be like "yo check this out..." then proceed to freak Berglass out with mellos ACAN and just walk away! hahaha that would be awsome. cheers

I love the idea of Gathering. My hesitation is... aren't most rings chunkier or bigger than the hole a hole punch makes?

You're right Bath Tub. I read a review somewhere that you have to be really picky with the type of ring you borrow. If that is true, it could create a real dead spot in your show, while you look for the right one!

Am i the only one who thought Modern Mentalism was horrible?

Apparently some over at the Cafe thought so too. Word is that it's good for beginner mentalists.

Yeah i agree. I currently only have one of the volumes (vol 1). Its sorta like the "This is Mentalism" dvd. (which i hated)

On the positive side everything was practical, nothing was crazy or un-do-able.

But the negatives are some of the effects were terrible (really bad), and the good effects well weren't that good, variations on old ideas or very simple stuff you could probably work out anyway from watching the performance. Also watching matt mello perform is like watching dan hauss perform, totally boring. I guess monotonous personality is a theme over at papercrane.

The trick called "Stop" has got to be the worse trick i have seen in 2010.

And seriously Craige? the best ACAAN? cant be serious. In fact i came up with a similar method over a year ago, which i had based on what i had seen someone else do. Therefore its definitely a idea that has been around a while. The lack of credits from Matt Mello is totally disrespectful to all magicians.

Pick up any Osterlind dvd instead.
