The difference between the original and the new version is new handelings and a new gimmick that allows u to do pen thru anything. While i do not own the original, i think these are new.

The Pen thru anything style gimmick is not required for the punctured trick. I feel its a bit unnecessary and dont see many ppl using it. Probably could of kept the price down by not including the special engineered gimmick.

Teaching style is silent (similar to TA set), but very clear. If anything, a little too slow.

Difficulty is reasonable. Individual moves are not that hard, but will take practice. Its not really something i could do straight away (but i'm a non-coin person). Linking several moves into a routine also takes more practice, i dont have it down yet. But if u want to do it as a 1 phase routine, its easy enough to do straight out of the box with 10mins practice.

Cigarettes/pen thru quarter type tricks have been around for ages. In my opinion, this is visually the best looking trick of this variety. It really looks as great as it does on the trailer.

Overall: its a buy! 8.5/10

The pen through face section made LOL pretty hard.

yes, that was pretty stupid looking. It turned a elegant piece of magic into a stupid bar gag.
