Thanks for the review. Do you have any experience with the Tamariz Stack? How do you think this compares in terms of built-in effects? Tamariz seems to focus on accessibility of the stack from new-deck order, heavy faro work, etc., but most of his built-in effects seem kind of outdated.

Also I remember you being very into ACAAN effects a few years ago (sorry if my lurking creeps you out) and posting lots of reviews, particularly a sparkling review of that John Born book. Having done the work for those tricks, how do you feel about learning this stack anew? Worth the benefits?

Thanks again for your years of reviewing services and compulsive magic purchasing tendencies!

Sadly I got the same reactions from The Grail and Meant To Be, so I ditched Born's ACAAN altogether in favor of the much easier Alakazam trick. Most of Recall's stack tricks can be performed without learning it, which is the path I'm taking for THAT stack.

And the stack tricks on the DVD's can be done with any stack. So I'm not going to use my Tamariz for those. That's what I liked about the DVD, you don't have to memorize anything, and you can immediately utilize all the content.

This happens all too often. Sometimes I fantasize about a world where magic is as mainstream as other forms of art and people enjoy the difficulty as much as they do when they see a complex painting - and I don't even do card flourishes.
