EXCELLENT REVIEW! I'm quite interested in Houdini's Influence. It was rumored that this was done with "Mastermind Deck" formatted photos but he clearly shows the corners on the pics.

I had the pleasure of seeing Wayne Houchin lecture last year. I bought Houdini's Influence and it is a fabulous trick. I think this has to be a very old principle but the presentation is what makes this so different. The pictures of Houdini's original cards from his last performance is very intriguing to a spectator. It's a card trick without being a card trick! Wayne obviously put in a lot of work in developing the pictures of Houdini's playing cards.

I'm not sure how this trick works on the DVD format - there must be a data section to the DVD where you can print your own pictures and the newspaper clippings of Houdini's death. When I purchased the routine from Wayne it came with the photos and a data CD of the newspaper clips.

I would highly recommend this trick. It can play as a bizarre magic routine, a straight-up mentalism routine,a storytelling routine or just a great magic trick if that is how you choose to present it.
