Should I save money for Canon Eos 650D for recording my magic show or should I save for Yigal's Electric Touch? Its quite a difficult decision to make.
Thanks,Black

I nominate Electric Touch!

You can use another camera or borrow one to record your show.

But other cameras won't record as good as the 650D.
Borrowing is a good idea, but I need it for a lot of shows.

But there are others cameras that will work good enough. If it is absolutely necessary that you film with the quality of the 650D then you have already made up your mind.

EZrhythm,I don't get what you are saying.
Are you saying that I should just get the camera?

Cameras can't deliver a shock.
Electric Touch sucks at taking pictures.

Decide what you want to do and the answer should be obvious.

I nominate Electric Touch.

Is recording your shows with the 650D important because you intend to create marketing material?

I looked up your camera and just the camera appears to be in the same price range. The deal with video editing is people don't realize all the extra stuff they will most likely need when making performance videos. You said you'd like to tape your shows; well, you should probably think of investing in a camera stand, a large capacity SD, and maybe even a cat tail microphone, depending on the sound quality of the venue. There's also a question of who will be doing your editing. Having been in the design business myself, I can say that video editing is a long process and can also be costly. Fortunately, I found people who were looking to make a name for themselves and were willing to edit my videos for a small fee. I'm not trying to discourage you from getting an SLR, but it's more of a long-term investment rather than a one time cost for materials.

I don't really like the effect with electric touch, so I'd get the camera
