Interlaced vanish in AoA has you passing off four cards as one. It got me wondering how many cards I could get away with like that. What is the most you've ever seen/done/heard of?

I do a five card lift as well, but for my ACR. I don't think I would ever go much more than that.

I've had 4 cards, but 2 are on display.

I know of a couple of tricks in which a 4 of a kind is hidden behind an indifferent card make a 5 card lift.

i personally haven't done more than a quad lift. But go check out the "AndThenSome" trailer, if i'm remembering correctly it looked like at one point in the video that he does a multiple turnover with like half the deck. (i may be mistaken)

The most I have flipped as "one" is 10. I got the packet in a good grip covering as many sides as I could and then flipped the rest of the deck over on the offbeat. Place the cards onto the flipped deck and you are golden.

There is a French magician, that back in the day did a 51 card lift, for what could best be described as an ambitous card type routine. I would ask Lee Asher for more information.

Are the cards supposed to be held in the hand or dropped on the pack?

I have tried with like half the pack just messing around and have succseded. But for I trick I perform fairly regualy it's a lift of 6 cards, but it never gets caught. I only need to flip it face up and even when I do that I tilt the pack in a way as to make the lift stand for a short time as possible. It's in a fun little trick I self developed called 'Dr Delas First Trick'.

If you're dropping them on the pack you could flip all but the last card together. Just need the right hand cover. It's lifting them in the air that's going to cause a problem.

I've seen the routine, just would have to ask around about the source. I saw Jason Dean, and Lee Asher messing with it when Lee was in KC for a lecture.

There are more ways to pass off multiple cards as one than by doing lifts or turnovers. In most ungimmicked X-Card Repeat routines, for example, there is a point during your count of the cards where a block of cards is being counted as a single card, thus "passing off" (literally ) many cards as a single. In some X-Card Repeat routines, you false count 3 or 4 cards as one, but in others you might be doing it with 10 or more.
