Hi i am looking for a reliable force for a FACE UP card. Any one have any ideas or names or even links. Doesn't have to be 100%.
Please don't say classic force its something i haven't really practiced enough to warrant it to use.

Only ideas i have atm are Dribble Force and a Variation of hindu shuffle

or a face up dribble force

No offence but the riffle force seems really less of a free choice to the audience in my opinion that is. I want it to feel like a free choice.

No offense taken, although I do disagree I personally use the riffle force a lot, and haven been called on it.

I do an effect with a face up force....but I just use the classic force...always seems to work just fine!

I vote for the classic force as well. The spectator is much less discerning when choosing a card when it's face up.

Maybe you should just continue to practice that, so you can use it....

Classic Force.

Classic force takes the cake. You can even say :"without thinking just take a Card". They will basically dive in and take the force card with ease.

Nobody has bothered to ask what the effect is the OP is trying to acheive. Tossing out random sleights without any context won't necessarily be helpful here. Depending on what he's trying to accomplish, for example, the Classic Force could actually be the worst choice; unless you're at the level of Paul Green, who can Classic Force with the cards behind his back, the spectator may well end up saying, "Well... you can see the faces, so you just made me take the one you wanted."

With a dribble or riffle force, enough of the cards are concealed during the forcing action to lessen the suspicion that you are watching for a particular card and tryign to make the spectator take it.

Having said that, I have to ask:

Yano... what is the structure of the routine for which you need a face-up force? What are you trying to acheive?

Not necessarily, but If he is going to force with the cards face up it shouldn't be a problem. Some information on the trick would help.

There's a force on one of Daryl's Fooler Dooler DVDs where you ribbon-spread the cards face-up, and move a pen back and forth over the cards. Where the spectator says stop you lower the pen, and the card it touches will be the force card.

The trick I am trying to achieve is to force a card with a different color back, at the start of the trick i wish to subtlety show the deck is fully red. (obviously concealing the blue card).

Then i wish to force the card face upwards and then just place it on the table. Not showing the back of the card yet. Then subtlety once again show spread the red deck. Then i will continue with the finisher for the trick.

The dribble force would work well there, I think.
