I think it's on Bill Malone's Here I Go Again set. It's a Swing Cut Shift that retains the full order of the pack with the shifted cards going to the top. Here's how it looks, the four cards are inserted into the front of the pack, squared in, and the pack is given a swing cut followed by a swivel cut. That's it. Does anyone recognize this move or the trick it's found in on that set?

I was just reading about this. It's call the Neal Elias Multiple Shift. I have it in "Dear Mr. Fantasy", and in "The Classic Magic of Larry Jennings" (p. 102 - Gambler's Aces) <---- I just bought that book :) (Man is some of his stuff crazy...I've never had to hold so many multiple breaks in my life!)

It's similar to the Elias Shift. I forgot to mention that. The Elias Shift cuts the pack. This one is just an extension of it.

Yeah. After I posted I went and read it again. I don't see how you could do this without cutting the deck. Hmmmmmm.....

There's a multiple shift in Joshua Jay's Talk About Tricks DVD set that retains the order of the deck; there's more than one cut in the action though.

I'll look through the Bill Malone set and see if I can find what you're referencing.

On Volume 2 in "Dealing a Good Hand" (Marlo Gardner Poker Deal) he performs the Hartman(sp?) multiple shift which actually contains 2 or 3 cuts depending on the way you look at it.

The one I'm looking for has two cuts. Do you remember which volume of Talk About Tricks?

Sweepingreaper beat me to it, it's on the 2nd DVD in Malone's set, the poker deal trick.

I don't remember which Talk About Tricks disc it is, but after rereading your description it's definitely not the same multiple shift you were thinking of. The one in Jay's set uses a cut to place each card into the deck. I remember after seeing it that it looked good from above, but had some problems with other angles.

Hartman. That's the one. The Poker Deal makes sense. Thanks.

For reference's sake, the one in Talk About Tricks is called "Slip Shift." It's Joshua Jay's idea, and it's the first clip in the "Moves" section of disc 3.
