What do you use for your hommade gaff cards? So far I have just been using a glue stick. The cards seem a bit stiffer than a regular card but it seems to do allright. I have heard that many use Dry Mount glue but every time I do an internet search it seems to be sold in big bundles. A square yard would do me for a good long time...

So what do you guys prefer? Glue stick, Dry Mount, Rubber Cement...other?

I actually made my first gaffed card today (if Fan2C doesn't count), a double backer, I just used glue stick. However the corners started to fray at first (fixed that later) so next time I may try painting on superglue instead

Rubber cement. I make gaffs all the time and that's all I use. It keeps the cards pliable.

I use rubber cement as well. The only other thing I have used is the elmer's spray adhesive.

I'll go with Rozzerdog's list. Stay away from super glue. It dries brittle and isn't designed for paper.

Different brands of rubber cement will give different results. Don't just settle for the first brand you find, you may have to experiment a bit.

You have to be careful to mask off unwanted areas with the spray glue, but I've had by far the best results with it. Overspray getting on the edges is a hassle though. It makes the sides gummy and they cards get dirty fast.

I use Elmer's Non Wrinkle Rubber Cement found at Wal-Mart, spread thin and evenly. Allow to dry thoroughly before sticking the 2 layers together and put under heavy/even pressure for 12-24 hrs.

Best regardz,
