hey guys i have been trying to learn dai vernons cutting the aces i have the book stars of magic but i just dont understand how to do it so i have tried learning in conjunction with this video

but once it reaches the 1 minute mark im lost i cant work out how to use the sleight of hand described in the book to cut the aces because i cant find them in the deck without holding the break is there something im missing? i was hoping someone could help me out. i know the rules say you cant reveal anything so if you could pm me you wouldnt be breaking the rules because i already have the book stars of magic so you are not giving me any information i dont already have.

if this is still breaking the rules then please inform me because i dont want to be doing anything against the rules

Yes it is still technically agaisnt the rules.

1. asking for someone to pm you
2. asking how to perform an effect in the open forums

If you bought it here, use the PO forums.

Though I am sure some one will help you with the sleight.
But I dont see why you are getting lost so easily if you have both the book and videos for reference.

This isnt exactly a best first post either...

If you're studying Vernon's material, you should look into the Revelations videos. One of those videos has a full explanation for, not only the original Cutting the Aces, but other ways of getting into it.

They are gold. They are also filmed in St.Johns Newfoundland which is pretty random. I'm from Corner Brook Newfoundland :)

In one of the Vernon Chronicles (volume 1 I believe...) there is the original version of cutting the aces. Much of the released material attributed to Vernon was either simplified or modified to appease the crowds. Personally, I much prefer the version offered in Chronicles...

Cheers
