I got TOOL when it was very first released and I love it. Now I see redemption and I'm very intriuged by it. But my question is, Which do all of you prefer that have both and why. I know with Tool I can do impromptu magic and then jump into using tool in the middle of a set. How will redemption do any better

I prefer Tool. Like you said, one of the key advantages is that you can use the gimmicked effect of Tool as a final trick by having it loaded in the box away from the deck. That's a huge plus for myself. I use Tool to ditch gimmicks too, or use Tool to bring a gimmick into play with some misdirection. It really is a great utility.

Additionally, the deck is examinable and workable through Tool.

Redemption is better for torn-and-restored cards and can be more powerful for anything that requires the folding of cards/bills. And it can happen in the spectator's hands. REALLY good for an ambitious card finale.

But I like Tool better, simply put I never leave without it. After all, you'll always need a box with you right?
