Thanks! c:

Get yourself one of those 12-packs of Bicycle cards. Practice with 4-6 decks and you'll be fine.

Also, the right way to do the Mercury Card Fold is not through speed, but misdirection. :)

Thanks guys.

I'm learning the mercury fold from Visions of Wonder, just skipping the third fold Tommy does. He actually says you should go through 50 decks before you're ready to perform it in "real world".

I have allready gone through like 6 decks or something, but I don't feel 100% comfortable with the move yet. Unfortunately I've run out of old cards, so it would be pretty helpful if someone knew what the cheapest deck you can buy here is called. c:

Thanks again. :P

Or Bicycle Seconds. Great to play with at low cost. You can squeeze, burn, fold or eat them with lower cost hehehe...

Well I would say practice with cards your going to be using in performance. If its bikes which are about as cheap as your going to get, use those.

Buy cards in bulk. Its so much cheaper that way. Costco or Sam's Club are where I buy them.

The OP is in Sweden but otherwise bulk is the way to go.

Double check the box style to make sure it will be OK if that matters.

Don't stress too much. Just make sure you're comfortable with the move and then try it out in the real world. As duds said, the move happens under the cover of misdirection. If they're looking at your hands when you do the fold, THATS what you need to practice. Not the fold itself.

50 decks? Whoa!!! How precise do you need to be for the effect you are after? If you just need to fold it twice to jam it into a ring box or wallet then, as rev said, don't sweat it. As long as you are not looking you'll be fine. Be more worried about the cop and palming after you fold the card.
