No clue on drying out hands....most of us have the opposite problem. What I can say is that smooth finish decks are less effected by humidity and moisture in general. So the Aladdin decks meant for sale in Singapore are made with a smooth finish. Conjuring arts always releases two finish styles for their decks. The Ivory finish is their smooth finish deck. Fournier 505s are a high quality smooth finish deck. Piatnik Club and Star Club are on smooth finish. Carta Mundi also produces a lot of smooth finish decks.

Certain makeup can help deal with the moisture on your hands. You'll need to investigate what kind exactly, because I forgot. Will look into this and make another post later.

I have both problems. Sometimes my hands are ultra dry. Other times they are sweaty or clammy from nerves. I have a microfiber towel I carry with me and wipe my hands off occasionally. I got that tip from James Tong on the Magic Cafe. The microfiber towel is great for removing dirt , moisture and oils from your hands. I have a brightly colored micro-fiber towel that looks great and sometimes doubles as a work surface for cards and coins. You can find them at Bed, Bath and Beyond.

I also focus on easier tricks these days. That seems to help with the nerves and I can concentrate on the presentation. Then later in the set I can bust out some harder moves. I think just being prepared for sweaty palms reduces the chances of sweaty palms.

You can maintain your hands by using some certain types of soaps or hand cream.

Or bring sand and double tape sorry that was a joke.

Micro-fiber towels are the BEST invention since sliced bread.

I think I'll need to invest in one.
