Check out Daryl's Encyclopedia of Card Sleights or Richard Kaufman's Basic Card Technique.

You might also want to look into the book "Now You See It, Now You Don't." I believe it's by Bill Tarr.

Would Daryl's Ambitious Card DVD or Crash Course 2 Ambitious Card DVD help my slight of hand?

Flip 2005, If you need help with sleight of hand you should not want either of those DVD's. You will benefit more from these DVD's after you have some basics down.

It's not a DVD but start with Card College by Giobbi or Royal Road by Hugard and Braue.

Or shell out the cash for Daryl's Encyclopedia of Card Sleights.

well I'm really like to see a pro do it slow and learn it rather than from a book. So any other suggestions? What would I learn in these basic DVDs that I wouldn't learn from daryl's ACR and Crash Course 2?

It's listed on Amazon for about $13.
