I have a question regarding brand new bicycle cards... I notice on most of the demos Oz has kept the seel on his card packet...the little blue ace of spades thing... is this just for authenticity or what? Do you guys do it? Is it recommended? I usually just peel mine off and throw it away instead of slitting it so I can open the deck with the seel on.
Thanks.

I don't think it matters...

I usually leave mine on, but just because I don't feel like taking the time to peel it off.

if you take the seal off completely it will stay a bit sticky. so i prefer to cut it and it remains smooth. i use the metal casing so it is better if it doesn’t stick to it.

I always leave it on. It's much more of a hassle to try and take it off.

Strange thread....but I just leave the seal there. I mean why waste the time of your day to just peel off a seal? But, then again............why not? lol

I cut it down the slit, then cut another slit into the finger slot, then fold those two parts inside the finger hole, that way I have a finger hole, that is a triangle, upside down.

Usually, I rip off a fingernail to cut the seal with; I cut it down the slit. I then peel off the portion on top of the flap and make a collage out of them in the shape of a spade. I leave the lower part over the half-moon on the box in case I ever need to hang the box off of my nose. When someone asks to verify the authenticity of my deck, I whip out my wallet, police officer style, and show them my laminated USPCC stamp.

Before I started doing this, no one took me seriously.

I take it completely off. Never had a problem with stickiness on the box after I take it off as well. It just bothers me to leave it on.

the seal's there to show that the cards have been taxed, similar to the stickers on cigaretts. if u see a bicycle deck being sold without one, its technically illegal!
