Ok...I am having trouble understanding some explanations of most card slights. Does anybody know if there are any websites/videos/DVD's that can help me. I wpuld prefer the cheaper alternative. Video clips on a website would be helpfull.

If I were you I would get Daryls Encyclopedia of Card Sleights.

Lol, well since he wants the cheaper way of doing things, I don't think he will be interesting in Daryl's Encyclopedia. You might want to check out Richard Kauffman's Basic Card Technique dvd http://www.penguinmagic.com/product.php?ID=587

Maybe the Royal Road to Card Magic...or you could search google, but I'm not sure how much you will find.

Go for the Royal Road to Card magic. It is great it takes you from beginner to advance. It is easy to understand and only cost 10 dollars. This book will last you a very long time. It even has some flourishes. Great book. Check it out. I also got an ACR video by Brad Christian. It teaches a lot of good moves but mostly are moves about bring a card to the top. Go for RRCM. Hope i helped.

I say go with Michael Ammar's easy to master card miracles. All the effects are great, easy, and you will learn all the sleights necessary to perform them. I say get the whole package, sleights and tricks in one, with Ammar's DVD's.
