It's because you're using to small of a coin. Bump it up to a couple half dollars. It gives more surface contact. So you won't end up cutting your hand open. But yes, it's going to hurt. But you will end up getting callouses on your hands, and it will make it better.

Doomkitty, ask yourself this before you continue practicing and hurting your hand.

WILL you use this move with magic, so much that it's worth all this struggling you have? Or are you just trying to perfect it because you hear it's such a hard move and you want to see if you can do it?

I practiced for a week and got a good 1 1/2 foot-high pass with a poker chip. Then I once I started perform the Anti-Gravity coin, I just felt that the muscle pass was way too inconvenient to put work into. I can use other sleights to achieve productions, vanishes, penetrations, and teleportations. The only thing that makes the muscle pass truly unique is the Anti-Gravity coin, which is very obvious to figure out.

You want to get a callous, it makes a harder and smoother surface for the coin to pop out of. Check out Coinvanish.com for more details. I went through his process a few times and i actually got more heighth then I was getting before because of it.

I found many uses for my muscle pass even though I can only shoot it about 7 inches. My highest is probably about 1 foot but my average is 7 inches. You could cleanly show one hand empty. Then the other. Andn make a coin appear. Dissapear. Make a coin go through a glass with even touchin the glass.

poker chips and half dollars work the best, and when you are just starting out practice doing it on both hands fairly evenly it is very worth the wait!

dude you should not be squeezing that hard at all, when i started out i was doing it very soft just to get the coin to flip over a bit, so get the mechanics of it right first
then start going for height. and you are either using a coin too big or too small.

I have the muscle pass and yes it does take a lot of practice. Jay said it can be mastered in 30 min. practices for 7 days so just practice a lot.

the muscle pass isnt nearly as hard as people say it is...
i started practicing it with my left hand and got it down after like an hour.
the right hand took me like 2 weeks though
