Probably because they are a bit expensive, much penguinmagic costumers are kids that probably can't pay 50-60$ for a coin gaff. I don't know much about johnson coins if they are expensive but I think this could be the reason. If you want some coin gaffs, look at dennymagic.com
I don't know if it's the real adress, just google it.

If you want high quality gaffs look for jamie schoolcraft gaff ( but much of them goes in 300$ ) They dont make kenedy half but walking liberty, morgans etc.

hope it helps.
Oh mjmmagic.com might carry some gaff depending on what you are looking for !

You can get Tango coins from the SOC. There pretty close to Johnson Quality. The Magic Warehouse also has a full selection of Johnson products, including silver coins.

The Cafe has some reviews on Tango, common consensus is they are not up to par with Johnson but are better than the cheaper sets. Like Exodus stated, go to the site he recommended, where I got all mine and they have a full line of Johnson products.

My Tango Flipper is pretty good. I've seen there Scotch and Sodas too, and they're not that bad. Not Johnson, but they blow Sterling and Sasco away.

I would like to get some good coins for hopping halves etc, but when they list the coin as "expanded shell" is it just the shell (one side) or does it have the flip side as well to make a complete coin?

Thanks

I go to the Magic warehouse for Johnson coins. Also try, Roy Kueppers. He's a bit overwhelmed with orders. I placed an order for Scotch and Soda (not a custom order) in November, and I'm still waiting. He responded in an email that he's making a new batch. Great quality and price.
