You kids these days ... sheesh! ... how do you learn in school if not from books? If everything you learned had to be from visual aids only, you certainly wouldn't be getting much of an education now would you ?
I think the problem is: ... is that you guys say you can't learn from books because you don't want to put in the time and effort it requires to learn, period! ... and that's pretty sad !

I can't speak for anyone else, but... I learned from Sesame Street, from Electric Company, and from Schoolhouse Rock... Plenty of Visual Aids there
Fact is, if asked to recite the preamble to the Constitution, ...I sing it..." weee the people.... in order to form...a more perfect union..." etc...
Ok jokes aside. Whatever the reasons they prefer DVD's those are their reasons. Personally I think Books have their advantages and disadvantages. DVD's have their advantages and disadvantages.
Some people learn better from books, others learn better from DVD's.
If DVD's are not for you, then they are not for you, I see little value to an aspiring magician to tell him or her, that the fact that they do not agree with you that DVD's are crap. Or that Books are much better, is sad.
It is sad, in your opinion. I see very little of benefit to young magicians to rub these opinions into their faces as though they were fact.
