My problem with Halves. No store will hand them out, and Bank Cashiers have gotten lazy, they tend to discourage handing them out as well. So I practice my palming with Poker Chips. I find they are more or less the same size as Half Dollars.
Call a few banks, I bet you can find a roll of them somewhere. I had one teller explain that they keep them in the vault and he went and grabbed me a roll. A month or two later at the same bank, the teller told me they didn't have them. We have a local movie theater that hands them out along with $2 bills. I have no idea why but I'm thankful.
Also, the walking liberties are the same size as a kennedy half and they are beautiful coins. They run around $5-7 or more depending on the condition of the coin and current price of silver. I have one walking liberty and I love it!

An aside, pennies in ketchup??? never thought of that. Would it also work for the Sackajewia Dollars? The copper colored ones? What to use to Polish Quarters?
I don't think it will work for Sachajawea dollars. Any tomato-based sauce will shine up those copper coins. I noticed it when we would spill some spaghetti sauce on our copper-bottomed sauce pans. The copper under the sauce-spillage would be gleaming!
