Although I'm sure flipper coins can be used for 3-Fly Routines, I'm not aware of any sources that actually teach a 3-Fly with a flipper. There might be one on the DVD for the Butter Coin, but don't quote me on that.

I know of one routine that uses a flipper and the guy has a really cool name too. It is a newer release and you can find the demo somewhere in these here forums.

If you're new to learning the 3-Fly plot, I'd go with Daryl's DVD. If you already know some versions of it and are looking to incorporate a flipper to make it cleaner, then I'd say get the coin and see what you find in just experimenting with it. You might come up with something new. Just be aware that getting the flipper coin in and of itself will not teach you to do a 3-Fly routine.

There are plenty of "Coins Across" / "3 Fly" routines utilizing a Flipper Coin. I beleive the main difference between the two are 3 Fly is generally considered to be at the fingertips.

Examination of a flipper coin will show you that it's invention might well have been for an at the fingertips coins across routine. Shells can be used as well. Troy Hooser makes excellent use of shells in his Total Destruction series. He has several 3 Fly versions in the series. Can't recall how many use Flipper vs. shells but he's definately one overlooked coin (and card) worker.
