Hi guys, I'm new on this forum.
I just got a new Tango flipper quarter, but... I can't open it!
I tried to wave it as described, but nothing happens... I also tried with my nails, but it doesn't open... what should I do?
If the tape won't work, it's possible that Tango applied too much glue and it's glued shut...
I've found that boiling my flipper coin workes much better than using a flame to heat up the coin (which must be done to re-align and/or change the band).
Get a pot of clean water and bring it to a boil. Put in your flipper coin and let it boil for a few minutes. Fish it out with a spoon or something, quickly dry it (BE CAREFUL, IT'S HOT... use gloves), and use a razor blade to disassemble the coin. Now scrape out the left over glue, replace the band and use some new glue to reassemble the coin.
P.S. If you cannot disassemble the coin successfully, then it may be defective and you'll probably have to return the item.
