Yeah, trust me, 20c piece is the perfect size and weight to get a good flight on your pass.
I can't seem to do it. Like not even that little pop you are supposed to be able to do...I don't think my hands are big enough (like thumb muscle and stuff, I have little kids hands but they are longer than kids hands)
Worst excuse ever for not being able to do the muscle.
The bigger the coin- the easier the pass is, hence, having small hands means that doing the pass with a half dollar will be easier for you than for someone with huge hands.
I started practicing the move with a half sheqel (a little bigger than a quarter, smaller than a half dollar) before I was even getting into coin magic, I just practiced it while I was in school.
There is really no need to get a DVD for this move because it is just so simple...
After you learn the move there are some DVDs you might want to check out because they teach applications (other than the famous ones like coin through window and coins that falls up) for the pass and ways of using it as a hidden move.
Fujii Akira and Shoot Ogawa got some killer stuff with the pass
