Can anyone steer me towards a source for a solid walk around coin routine?

I do not care if the trick uses a gimmicked coin.

ps: what is your favorite gimmicked coin for walk around/close up?

Check out Flesh Pocket by Jay Sankey. It's totally absurd, yet so magical. Also I like doing pretty much any Coin Across routine.

I would suggest the dvds 'Coin Man Walking' by Dan Watkins and Troy Hooser's dvd series that I believe is called 'Total Destruction'.

I added a few vanishes/appearances, but I use the one coin routine from In The Beginning There Were Coins.

Nathan Kranzo has a DVD called, I think, "Stand Up Coin Magic" that might give you some workable material.

The coin magic seminar dvds are jam packed with coin magic, good coin magic at that! Other than that, get yourself a good shell and go to work ;).

Stand up coin magic is awesome. My version of flesh and bone NEVER fails to get AMAZING reactions.

I bought two things from Nathan Kranzo in the past and didn't really care for them. I only remembered the title of this DVD when afelbs posted the original question and thought it might have some options for what he was looking for. Maybe I'll get around to picking the DVD up someday, but Outside the Box and The Gig (ebook) didn't leave a good taste in my mouth.

I just started learning coin magic about 2 months ago now and I find that the best coin effects I do for walkaround are these one's:

2 Coin Production/Coin Thru Hand/and Tenkai Pennies from In The Beginning There Were Coins
Scotch & Soda
Dime & Penny (both of those are Johnson and I highly recommend both of them and to get a bang ring for the Dime & Penny)
Digital Dissolve from T11 (Copper Silver Transpo done in the spectator's hands)
and CoinOne by Homer Liwag (pretty tough to perform but in the right situation this effect absolutely kills)

If you are just starting look at some basic routines from On the Spot or something of the sort, work your way through that material. Once you are comfortable with things like that, work your way to things like the New York Coin Magic Seminar DvD's, also Eric Jones has amazing coin magic routines that are tried and true.

I'd like to add that David Roth's rendition of the coins across with a [ is very nice as well. Angles are very generous; by that I mean spectators can be seated or standing while you perform. Sleights are basic so it allows you to milk with whatever presentation you want.
