I have both... Ammar's introduction to coin magic and Bobo's book.

Everything you see in the video (manipulation wise) is in the book. The book has a lot more information in it, but the video gives you a nice visual of someone properly executing the basic moves.
I started off with the video and moved to the book. I was still hungry for more after I learned all the moves on the video.
I equate it to the cliche " a picture is worth a thousand words." I feel the book was easier for me to understand some of the moves and switches because of the video. There are pictures in the book, however theres nothing like seeing the full range of motion.
So to make a short story long.....
Wethere or not your deeply interested in the art of coin manipulation... I'd recommend starting with the video so you don't get fustrated trying to figure out some of the moves. Then if you still have an appetite for more, go buy the book.
The book in my opinion should cost more than it does for the wealth of information it provides and the video should be cheaper.

I got the video on sale of 20 which is about the right price for the dvd.
The book should be in the 20-30 range, not 9.95. I've seen crappy little cheeseball books that are at the same price.
Hope that helps with your decision and have fun with it!
