Quality of Scotch and Soda and Dime and Penny..

I heard that "Scotch and Soda" is more well-made than "Dime and Penny".

Is that mean that Scotch and Soda is more examinable or less detectable than "Dime and Penny"???

the colour of dime and peny seems to wear of. GO for scotch and soda, its better!

i ahev seen both effectsa and have owned dime and penny. to my understanding scothc and soda comes with a bang ring and dime and penny doesn't. for that matte rwihtout exposing i would say go with sotch and soda. b/c its bigger might have its advantages as well.

I disagree completely. Dime and Penny is cheap enough, and the trick doesn't look as contrived. You can get a dime and/or penny from anyone- try doin that with a centavo and a fifty-cent piece! The quality of the trick comes from the manufacturer. I believe it is Johnson's coins that actually have a bang ring for dime and penny, although I might be mistaken. A bang ring for something that small seems kinda silly to me though...

Bottom line- dime and penny is well worth the price, and the quality is fine.

oh im not saying diem and penny isn't worth the price. its an awesoem trick. i was basing my decision on the fact that wheni bought it from penguin it didnt come with a bang ring so it was difficult to reset.

I don't think a bang ring for Dime and Penny is silly at all! Shaking the coins in a glass can damage the edges of the coins making them fit looser or tighter. A bang ring doesn't damage the edges.

I think that shaking it allows for quicker resets, although I agree- it CAN damage the dime and penny. Usually takes a long time to damage it though...

Shaking the dime and penny reminds me of the time when 2 guys walked into the magic shop where I was working, and bought a dime and penny. They left, ate lunch, and came back saying their dime and penny wouldn't separate. Well, I tried it, and it separated, but when they tried, it wouldn't separate. This went on for about 5 minutes, while myself and the other magician working in the shop were laughing at these two idiots who couldn't get their trick to work. We even gave them a different glass to use, even a new dime & penny, as we couldn't believe how moronic these two guys were- it was just a simple easy trick! We stopped laughing when one of the magicians on break came in and asked for their autograph. Turns out, that because we didn't recognize them, they decided at lunch to mess with us.

...That was the first time I met John Kennedy and David Roth. They had been doing a simple Bobo switch the entire time.

Just one of the reasons I love the dime & penny, I guess.

It sounds like "Bang Ring" is a device that resets the "Scotch and Soda".

Let me just make it clear cuz i'm kinda confused..

dime and penny does not come with a bang ring and yes it does amke it so it can be reset.

Try Gin and Tonic guys, it doesn't use a centavo.

Well,, I don't really care what kind of coin it is...

So, it doesn't matter even if it was "Mexican Centavo" or anything..

The main thing that I care about is acutally,

I have had my scotch and soda for over 5 years...

No-one has yet to pick it up even after inspection.

im sure that you can restore the pennies color but i would be careful with it. from what i knwo scotch and soda is about the same as dien and penny only smaller. I owuld say that it is all personla preference
