Just started on the book, the first two lessons are hard enough for me, to bring the coin in and out of your palm with 2 fingers. i was practicing with a quarter, is that the coin to use? i have some half dollars, would that be better to use? Thanks.

It's easier to use a half dollar. You can eventually "graduate" to a quarter, or even a nickel or dime. David Roth does a Matrix with dimes. I'm guessing he didn't start out with them first :)

I use mostly half dollars but mix in quarters and silver dollars as well. Depends on the size of you hand but Halfs are pretty standard.

My left hand is perfect and any coin will work; my right hand isn't as cooperative and still looks disfigured while in CP.

Been reading cover to cover and was happy towards the end I found a couple of tricks that are on David's Roth's Coin DVD demo!

Wear a pinkie ring and palm it every chance you get, everywhere you go. :)

Why would he wear a pinkie ring?

Also got Bobo today and after an hour or so of practicing I caught a wicked hand cramp. And after all that I still cant make my hand look natural. I will keep at it though.
Any advice? Maybe I am holding it too tight.

to be truthful i dont really think you can get your hand to be perfectly natural, there will always be some dimpling because of the muscles you use in the move...as for the hand cramp...you think thats bad? try doing the muscle pass 40 times a day  thats pain. lol i cant palm coins in my right hand for a while now

Because if you're ever in a situation where you don't have a coin and want to practice or perform, you'll always have a pinky ring on you. Or, actually a magic pinky ring. ;)

A pinky ring will be in between the size of a quarter and dime which will be great for practicing. I pratice sleights with my pinky ring all the time. Plus they are a little thicker too which helps you take note of your angles better to keep the ring concealed.

It took me a while to get the first two down. But as with everything, practice makes perfect.

The book is amazing. Good luck.
