right now I know two versions of this trick the first of which is the basic extra coin handling the other is a basic, with cards version I am looking for the cleanest and most well, non-card using version preferably with 4 coins ( as far as the spec is concerned I don't care if I have to have 5 other coins palmed, lol ), Can anyone recomend a good source for this.

If you want a pure four coin version there's Daniel Garcia's sh4de and Fujii Akira also has a version with only four coins but if you ask me, only magicians care about the extra coin, all these four coin versions don't look nearly as magical as the shell\extra coin versions.
I think the one David Roth does is alright, like most coin tricks, it all depends on the performer, you can do the most advanced version with a shell and what not and to the spectators it will look like you just have fast hands and you can do the most basic version and take your time between each coin, let the magic sink in, and you will amaze your spectators.

The most amazing version of the No-Card Matrix in my opinion is Dean Dill's Explosion. It's absolutely incredible, but absolutely expensive.
