No more sleight of hand than a normal Hot Rod. The gimmick takes care of the other change.

It is a nice piece of equipment. Remember, though, it will only be as good as you want it to be based on your presentation. I have seen guys do a paddle routine with a table knife and pieces of paper they stick on with spit that would blow an audience away.

This move is great. It really is visual, and deceptive. I use a hot rod quite frequently, and get nice results.
