Did you know that wine corks are 3/4" in diameter? You can carve a 3/4" cork ball using a pocket knife and sand paper in about ten min's. You get two balls per cork. They don't have to be perfectly round.
Then find a kindly woman to crochet a set of covers for them. I had a set of blue/white balls done for me and am going to get a set done in green. The woman who did them had them done in about a day. She said it was a fun project.
You'll have to get your own "kindly lady who crochets". I'm keeping mine a secret.
Have fun, Art

I haven't touched alcohol for 6 years, but I like your idea so much I'm going to start drinking again just to get those corks.

I hope I can stop again.

My parents will ocasialny drink wine. And when they do, they collect all the corks, and they have like 40 corks. So i am planning on asking to use some of those corks, and my neighbor lady loves to sow and make quilts and everything. But my question is: what kind of cloth do you use to let the 'kind lady who crochet' crochet it with?

She will be using a thin "yarn" like knitting wool only smaller. The color of your choice.or whatever she has on hand. The ones I had made are blue and white. If she does any crocheting she will know what to use.
