this is a list of some of the effects/ tricks I can either perfrom or that I am ordering. my question is..( are most of these considered to be close up magic? or can they be used well for a magic performance in a room of say 40 people...and what is considered to be close up magic..

It really depends on how the audience is set-up. But the TT and mouth coils are a part of nearly every show of mine.

Stealth pen most likely wouldn't work. It's just not visual enough for such a large crowd. Magic rattle box would probably be an okay effect, but I wouldn't suggest using it.

The floating dollar bill could be used. I don't know how good it would play for a larger crowd like that though. I think it would have a lot better reaction for close up.

Bottle up could be used for a larger audience. If you have ever watch a video from L & L Publishing, they way they set up their audiences would work quite well for the effects you named. If you haven't watched any of their videos, the way they set up is that you have a table in the front, and then around that, a half circle is formed. And the people are quite near the table, so they can see exactly what is going on.

yeah stealth pen is too close up and i got the rattle box as a promotion, i havent used it yet.
so the half circle would cut off in front of my table though?
