I own the Vernet Soft TT. I mean...who doesn't?

Question is....does a 12" silk fit well inside this TT? or is the silk too big.

And why is the Classic Vernet TT better for bill switches?
Because the bill slides in mroe easily?

Personally i have no problems with my soft TT...but if the classic one is really that good...i might consider getting one.

i made the mistake of ordering a 12" silk fro my vernet TT. it doens't fit. go with the 9" silks. they fit like a charm

or you can get the diamond shaped silks, those look bigger even though they are actually smaller. So you can fit like a 14 inch (I am not sure if that is the exact measurement. It might only be like 12 inches but you get the idea) diamond silk in a TT.

By the way what do you guys think about the vernet classic? Does any of you happen to own one?

I find the inside surface of the soft tip to be a bit "sticky" with silks. The classic tip is much better for silks. The soft tip is really great for most other (bills, salt and sugar routines) and has a better "out of your pocket" fit. I carry the soft tip in my pocket at all times but have both available for most "staged" or planned routines.

Buy one of each (cheap, with "loads" of bang for the buck).

If your thumb is small...maybe you can try the Vernet Junior TT.
However I would still recommend the vernet soft TT cos'...

1) It generally has a good load capacity (way more than the Junior TT of course).

2) I don't believe it will look unnaturally large on you....i might be wrong though

3) You're not supposed to show your TT anyway (that's why people have been talkin about how the pros get away with brightly colored neon TTs)

I'm 13 and have the Vernet soft. It's a little big, but there's more room for bigger loads. And it's not so big that it falls off.

Now thats a wise choice.
