I have "The Reserve" DVD and I have John Lovick's "SWITCH: Unfolding the $100 Bill Change" book. As much as I prefer to learn from a mentor or a DVD, (because seeing something performed usually brings much quicker and greater understanding to me about how I could/should be performing the illusion than reading about how to perform that same something does). However, the "SWITCH" book is the exception to that. The book provides history of the illusion as well as the history behind various handlings. It was well-thought out and provides credit where credit is due, ("The Reserve" DVD does NOT provide that credit). Ethics and history aside, it is still a superior product to the DVD. It has illustrations and very easily-followed step-by-step instructions. It not only provides various means of performing the bill switch illusion, but also provides additional illusions stemming from, or similar to, the bill switch. It is an absolute wealth of information and well-worth the cost.
There is, in my opinion, no better resource available in any format than the "SWITCH" book. It stands head and shoulders above all other books, pamphlets, manuscripts and videos on the bill switch that I've ever seen. For new-comers to magic and/or the effect or for old-timers who've worn it out in their performances and for every skill level inbetween - the "SWITCH" book is a valuable resource for them all and I highly recommend it.
