Gimmicks? Hmm. In no particular order:

-TT

-STS

-Raven

-Stealth Pen

That's about all that I've used. However, I really recommend using some non gimmicked effects, such as cards, coins, etc. That way if you get grabby spectators... which you will, they won't find any gimmicks.

Scotch & Soda is a good gimmick for school ... lemme see, ah, ...

Color Vision ... cheap, effective, examinable ... can't do it surrounded though! ...
Just about any Pen Thru Dollar ...
Bite Out Coin ...
TT vanishes/switches ...

... that's a few of 'em.

Magic at school is fine, but not gimmicked magic. i try to use only cards and coins at school. gimmicked stuff never works out. thats just my PO, for school i recommended nothing other than cards coins(occasionally i bring sponge balls).

Lets see.

1. TT
2. electronic rating pen
3. dime and penny
4. sponge balls
5. colorful cups and balls (I like these because they fit in your pocket and are very inexpensive)
6. folding quarter

hope this helps, you can actually put together a quick routine (from 5-10 minutes) implementing most if not all of these items and you still have time to grab lunch.
