What are your top five (or six for those of you who can't decide) favorite TT tricks to perform in public? Mine are (in no particular order):
*Coin vanish/ reproduction
*The classic dissapearing salt trick
*the misers dream off of Darwins encylcopedia of TT magic DVD 1
*Dissapearing hanky (i like to entertain kids, but i can fool adults too)
*levatating card trick.

My favorite by far is the Burnt and Restored Match, it kills every single time!

The burnt and restored match trick, how does it work, i know you load the flaming match and switch it for the non-used match but can't it catch a vinyl (doubt i spelled that right) TT on fire? or do you put your thumb in fast enough so it burns out do to the lack of air? On Darwins encycloedia it doesn't really go into detail, and i don't want to burn my hand off. Just asking.

I hate to say it, but thumb tips even though I own all kinds, are just something I don't like to use...

Nope, it won't burn the TT - especially not the really soft vinyl ones (like the one the DVDs come with). You just have to take that leap of faith and stick your thumb in and cut off the air supply.

In no particular order:

1. Torn & Restored Sweetener Packet (as developed & performed by Richard Osterlind)
2. Bill Switch
3. Vanishing rainbow silk streamer (while some may know the vanishing hanky, the vanishing of a 3 or 6 foot silk streamer seems to baffle spectators).
4. D'Lite (blue)
5. Fly Catcher (I have a slider/pull tab from a zipper in the TT and the TT in place. I act like I see/hear a fly flying around, then reach up, grab the fly in mid-air and dump it out of my fist onto the table or into a spectator's hand. It's a groaner of a joke, but sometime after the chuckles and groans, they realize they just witnessed a little bit of magic.)

This is breaking two rules here. You can't give out personal information such as your email and ask people to contact you. Second, you can't offer exposure. Both are against the rules and will get you banned.

Swami Gimmick TT style.

I kind of ignored my TTs until recently. I had spoken at length with Joe Mogar (the color changing knife and thimble guru) on the phone when placing an order and he chastised me for not using a TT and silks. So he sent me one a free soft Vernet TT and silk with my order. Super nice guy.

I had thought TTs just looked too obvious - Like some sort of physical deformity of the hand. Man was I wrong. I get great reactions and I've never been caught. Here are my staples:

* Simple silk vanish and production with a TT
* American Flag-Blendo
* D'Lites

I'm thinking about doing the salt vanish as well.

As an alternative to the TT check out a dye-tube. Very similar to the TT in a lot of respects but you can do some other interesting things.

Darwin teaches a way to use the TT as a makeshift dye tube on his DVD.

The DVD's are AWESOME! If you just started using a TT, pick it up. There are so many ideas that are all golden. DVD gets a 5/5.
