 Post subject: suggestion for a close up mat / pad

Any suggestion on brand and size of a close up mat?

Want to use it for close up card / coin magic. e.g. 4 card matrix

I love these, it's available in 4 colors, has a cool design. Isn't the biggest but you can spread a deck of cards on it nicely. I own all 4 colors and been using my red one (which I bought for $20 from somewhere else :( )for a year and it's still in perfect condition. Also it's pretty cheap...

I make my own close up pads for a buck and 5 minutes. if its not exposure I can give you my instructions via PM.

Instructions on making a pad isn't exposure I believe.

Instructions on making gimmicks for a trick that someone hasn't purchased is though.

me and my dad made a close up pad which is about twice as big as the normal pad with a pocket flap at the back

I don't think instruction to make a close up pad will be considered as exposure since no magic is involved.

By posting it here will help more people like me.

i bought the same one as sebis, VDF with printed aces.. its really nice, aint the biggest but it works for me

I went out today to Bed Bath and Beyond and bought a cool placemat with a nice subtle black design complete with no slide pad on the bottom on clearance for $3 :)
