My close up pad is slipping around all over the plave. The top surface is in great condition so I don't want to buy a new one. any ideas as to how I can make the underside not so slippery?

Try Cleaning the bottom with Methelated spirits or somesuch, you'll probably find that its picked up loads of dirt & stuff & this is stopping the mat from gripping

I get close up pads from my local magic store for $4 to $5. Just buy a new one, it isn't worth the effort at those prices to clean them.

you can try getting lil glue on or stick on rubber "feet" to try and keep it steady... getting a set of 4 or 6 wont be as expensice as a whole new mat

It's true...I have seen his close-up pad and it is in BAD shape. He tried to steal mine.

I dunno if this will work. Trying buying some grip tape and stick some around the edge. You can probably buy them in sport stores.

Is it one of those cheap ones that are like a piece of felt or one of the nice ones that are solid and nicer.
