Hi, I was at my local magic shop when I noticed an old set, whos price had been slashed repeatedly. It was called "Berland's Thimble Act" and was obviously very old and unwanted. But at the price they sold it, It was almost a steal ($17.00 CAN). I took it home, opened it up, and discovered one of the best, yet most hidden forms of sleight of hand. Thimble magic! The next day I went back to the shop and picked up an old book called "Thimble Magic" by Jean Hugard, took it home, and am currently having the time of my life.

I was just wondering, what are your oppinions on thimbles (that is, if you know what they do magically)? And how many of you use thimbles in your act?

I LOVE thimble and ball magic. Jeff McBryde has a lot in his 3 tape set on manipulation. When I do thimbles I use a set of 10 thimbles which consists of 5 sets of 2 each interlocking thimbles. so you can do colour changing in addition to the other thimble routine. I start with one and wind up with thimbles on 4 fingers as a climax. Just great fun and the audience loves the routine. I use them whenever I do a kids party.

Thought about using them for street magic routine.
