Out of my "gimmicked" effects, I would have to say In a Flash by Jay Sankey. Such a great card effect, combines fire, coin, and card magic (as jay says). If you have this trick and are hesitant about performing it, pull it out of the drawer and perform it a few times, and it will quickly rise to the top of your list. If you dont have it...GET IT! This is great for close-up, table hopping, street magic, and possibly stage magic (never done this but i'm sure Jumbo cards would help.
My favorite close-up coin trick is definatly 3-fly. SICK ROUTINE, perfect angles, IMPROMPTU, Packs small/plays big.
Of course we cannot forget sponge balls or cups and balls. But honestly, these are ASSUMED to be the classics of magic (i shouldnt even have to mention these).
But as mentioned before, my "favorite" effect totally varies on the audience. "My favorite to perform" may not be the "audience's favorite to watch." So my "favorites" are the effects that get the best reactions, even though they are simple principles. I hope this influences people to get/learn these tricks because I have heard so many magicians mention these as their favorites as well.

Oh yeah....two more words....INVISIBLE DECK. PURE classic. I must say that Jay Sankey's "X-deck" from his secret files is worth the price of the videos alone. And for those of you who have learned a "memorized deck", pick up a copy of Michael Close's Worker's #5. There is an unbelievable EXAMINABLE invisible deck routine.

Ok thats enough typing...PM me if u have any questions or anything

Hey, a flourish is doing a trick with cards, right? Not necessarily deceptive, per say, but a trick indeed.

While more of mentalism, not magic, I'd say that I LOVE fork bending. I use Banachek's methods and they are MARVELOUS. Next to that I always carry a swami. Mentalism...good stuff.

"Do-As-I-Do" is a great card effect though, love that one. Along with "Renegade." I didn't learn those from Penguin, but I figure most of you "penguin-friendly" users will know what I'm talking about when I mention them.
