What ever effect I am doing RIGHT NOW. Each effect is the best one I can do, or I don't perform it.

I have found that the best close-up tricks for me are:

- Invisible Deck
- Scotch and Soda
- Impossible Matrix
- Ultimate 3 Card Monte
- Mental Photo Deck
- Just some amazing, hard hitting simple card tricks

For the best close up tricks, i'll definitely say its the cups & balls. As Harry houldini once said,"you aren't a magician until you've mastered the cups & balls." Second would be the 3 shell game. These are magical classics...

the best routine in my opinion, would be lennart green stuff. it is great, mostly impromptu, and... just darn. I would also sugest Miguel Puga stuff, but they don't sell it here.

I think that some of the most powerful close-up magic you can perform are tricks in which your spectators are involved. The magic that happens in the spectators own hand and leaves them spellbound is what I prefer.
Usually any kind of monte or transposition involving cards or coins.
