does any 1 know where i can find a site with free magic tricks? (i'm mostly looking for rubber band tricks). and yea im that broke and not old enough to work.

The free tricks that are on some websites are pretty much junky effects. They are usually self working beginner effects that won't make any jaws drop. If you want anything half decent, you will have to pay for it.

this is true there are sites but they are crap effects that you can make up you know stuff like killer spies hahaha. Just buy some books or dvds and if you dont have money magic isnt the hobby for you.

Not excually true. There are plenty of magic books at public library's and you can come up with some very astonishing things just playing around with a deck of cards. While doing these things are not going to make you a professional my any means, you might learn a few cool tricks to show your friends. If you want to be a magician though, it takes alot of time and alot of money.

Step 1:Make your parents take you out to a book store

Step 2:Read a book on magic

Step 3:Take notes and such

Step 4:Eat pie

Step 5:Repeat step 4 as many times as necissary

I was looking through a Lacey Parks and recreation fall 2005 packet..(did tae kwan doe last year cuz of this thing) and I saw Magic tricks of the trade..lol but its only ages 6-12 and the descriptions reads as follows- This all new workshop teaches kids how to perform magic tricks to amaze and astound friends and family. The class includes illustrated lecture notes and hands-on instruction by a professional magician from Amazement Productions. All of the props used during the workshop go home with the students so they can immediatley practice and perform magic. Apprentice magicians learn "Mirage Knot Trick" (((GUESSING ITS EYE OF THE TIGER))), "Instant Card Transportation" ((I THINK WE ALL KNOW THIS ONE BY NOW)) and much more CLASS Thursday, November 17 6:30-800 (dang I wish I was 12 again so I could go through that that is alot of much) FEE of class 20 dollars..lol I think its a pretty good deal because like Eye of the tiger and instant card traspo is like 15 or so dollars in all or something ...I think its pretty cool that I have a little kid magician teaching place in my area

Ed Marlo started creating card magic because he couldn't afford the big props and cards were only a dime. Money or not, magic is a hobby for everyone.

There are some pretty cool coin tricks that you can find online. Look in the other forums. Some of them have nice free trick websites.

PArdon? I found Hummingbird card, Card to ceiling and Armbuster on free websites. Not crap to me!

I got my start in magic through books from the public library. Take a look, you might be surprised. Also, you should check whether there is a magic club in your area. An internet search may help in that regard.

Yeah, if you have a SAM ring or something of the likes in your neighborhood...check it out. Most, if not all have libraries of their own where members will donate books and videos for others to use and learn from. There is some good stuff there, and not just your run of the mill "3 piles of 7" cr*p.
