No. Why? Because shaking hands is hypnosis. It is automatic behavior that has been programmed into the mind.
You want to give your suggestions with the same level of confidence as you have when you extend your hand for a handshake. Until you do, you will likely fail, in the same way that a person probably wouldn't shake your hand if you extended yours nervously.
