I got a book but it doesnt answer this question

I got a book on hypnosis and how the mind works but it fails to answer this question and i dont want to test it until i know for sure so i dont look like a fool. The question is if i say things forcefully but at the same time calmly to a person like "your muscles are getting harder to move, you can barely move" and they want to believe its happening will it happen?

Luke Jermay has an effect in one of his books that is similar to this where he stops someone in time. Maybe you want to check it out. I have the method and I'll tell you - it is pretty clever the way he does it.

Yes, I believe what he is thinking of is suggestion which a lot of suggestion material can be found in Luke Jermay's books. The effect where Luke stops a person in time is explained in Building Blocks along with many other good effects.

How do I know? Well, it has nothing to do with the spectator. It has everything to do with you. For as long as you believe this:

This sliver of insecurity will destroy your ability to hypnotize another person. When you hold out your hand to shake someone else's hand, do you feel any insecurity? Are you the least bit nervous about whether or not they will meet your hand with theirs?

No. Why? Because shaking hands is hypnosis. It is automatic behavior that has been programmed into the mind.

You want to give your suggestions with the same level of confidence as you have when you extend your hand for a handshake. Until you do, you will likely fail, in the same way that a person probably wouldn't shake your hand if you extended yours nervously.
